The HK Prize and Yidan Prize for Global Education

The hk prize is an annual award for outstanding Hong Kong films, presented by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society. Winners are voted for by the members of the society, which comprises thirteen professional film bodies in the city. The winner receives a cash prize of HK$100,000 plus a trophy. The awards ceremony is held in March each year. The hk prize is an important way to recognise the hard work of Hong Kong filmmakers.

The Yidan Prize for Global Education is awarded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to individuals or organisations who contribute to creating a better world through education. The winners are honoured for their contributions, which help to improve the quality of global education and build an equitable learning environment. Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu announced the winners in an online speech on Sunday.

In the first phase of this year’s competition, the HKJC has set aside a total of HK$3 billion for prizes to be awarded to participants and spectators at the races. In addition to the prizes to be won in each race, the HKJC is offering a special jackpot (Duo Bao Jiang) of up to HK$100 million (compared with the normal 1st division winnings of HK$8 million).

To ensure that the draw is fair, employees from HKJC’s security and customer service departments are employed to check all materials used in the draws, including boxes, tickets, and even the numbered balls used. The balls are also measured, weighed, and examined by X-ray on a regular basis. Furthermore, the balls and the draw machine are locked up after each drawing. In the event of no winners in a particular category, the money that would normally be paid out is added to the jackpot for the next draw.

This year’s HK Prize winners include a group of young entrepreneurs and social workers who have been working for over 10 years to provide support for youths in Hong Kong, a group of doctors who helped their patients find employment or start businesses, and a teacher who has taught Chinese for more than 40 years. Among the most popular categories for this year’s HK Prize are the social enterprise, arts, and sports categories. Applicants can find the official rules, entry forms, and other details on the HK Prize website. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2019.
