Thousands of participants, including local students and people from around the world, compete each year for the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Hong Kong and spend six months collaborating with leading scientists in a city that has produced many Nobel laureates. The Prize is supported by the Hong Kong Government and a consortium of private companies. The Hong Kong prize winners can learn about Asian culture and history while gaining an in-depth understanding of scientific research in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
